freed.in/2008 is taking an ambitious step in trying to bring together people from like-minded streams into a collaborative creation of a knowledge ecosystem. As the scope of such a system is as yet ill-defined, a key part of the event will be a planning conclave, with the idea of:

By and large, the conclave will be behind closed doors, so as to achieve coherence in the limited amount of time available. All *Freed*.in attendees will be informed of the discussions, and have a chance to comment in public panels held at the end of each day.
